Our February GiaBOXes

Our February GiaBOXes

Hello GiaBOXers!

February is the month of love and friendship. That is why we have written two posts about the benefits of playing board games for couples and children. Spending time together, we demonstrate the love we feel for people we care, and board games will always give us the opportunity to do it.

Here you can find the board games included in our February Boxes:

Challenge time!

This month some of our clients will be enjoying a great kickstarter!

This warof mine

This war of mine – Board game

This war of mine – 1 to 6 players – 45-120 minutes.

This is a different board game. There are a set of rules (on the journal), but please do not expect to know everything beforehand. This is a board game you do not play, this is a board game you experience.

Inside its beautiful arts, you will find a narrative-driven board game that mixes storytelling with resource management. The story is divided into chapters, which divides into days and stages, and your goal is quite simple: survive by the end of chapter 3.

You can go for a multiple players experience or a solo experience.
To enjoy it as multiplayer, we think you need to play with that type of group that discusses all aspects, and probably it is better if not more than 4 players are involved. With a solo game it will be a quicker game, but it will also a better chance to fully appreciate the game.

Family time!

Carcassonne Board Game

Carcassonne – 2-5 players – 30-45 minutes.

A classic board game and “a must have” in any board game collection.

In this game, you place tiles and meeples with the objective of earning points. You will get points based on the number of meeples you have on certain assets (town, tower, grass, etc.).

Will you get to complete all the areas to be the player scoring more points?

There are numerous expansions to increase the playability of this fantastic board game!

13 Ghosts

13 Ghosts – Board game

13 Ghosts – 2-4 players – 10-20 minutes.

On this occasion, you will need to find the ghost hidden in your opponent’s crypt.

This game does not require much bluffing, but you will need to use your power of deduction if you want to be the one that rules the haunted mansion.

This is a quick game that entertains adults and children equally.

Our little gift for you!

If you follow our blog, you will know how special is this board game for us. For those receiving this board game, we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do every time we play it.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico board game

Puerto Rico – 2 to 5 players – 90-150 minutes.

This time you  will play the role of a colonial governor. Over the turns you will have 7 to 9 possible actions to do, all aiming to build up your island to increase production and ship goods. The player with the most VP’s wins!

Will you try to ship quick and cheap goods or you will prefer to sell the most expensive goods becoming the biggest builder? In any case, choose your options carefully and enjoy!

What do we love from Puerto Rico? It is a really well balanced Eurogame, where there is no luck involved at all. It will take you a few games to know all the aspects but, once you get familiar with the rules, you will understand possibilities are endless.

We hope you enjoy your new board games!
